NOT YOUR ORDINARY YARD SALE!
Save the Ridge is cosponsoring a yard sale with GARD (Gardiner Association
for Responsible Development). This is no ordinary yard sale, though: there will
be an unusually large stock of offerings because so many people are donating
items (including you!), and it will be an all-day party, with refreshments,
music, and voter information and registration for Gardiner residents. Best of
all, the proceeds will support the work of educating voters and saving the ridge.
STR yard signs and T-shirts will also be available. Shop for second-hand
treasures and make them your own, while enjoying majestic views of the Shawangunk
Ridge, especially Millbrook Mountain and Gertrude's Nose. Learn about the
threats of careless and excessive development on the Ridge and throughout the
Gardiner area and how it will affect quality of life for all residents, as well as
the environment.
Time: Saturday, August 9, from 9 - 4 pm
(rain date August 16).
Place: 1062 Bruynswick Road (Ulster County route 7) in Gardiner, 4/10 of a
mile south of route US 44/55 (Lombardi's Italian restaurant is on that corner).
Quality donations welcome at: same place, 5-7 pm, Saturday, August 2 through
Friday August 8
